Growing the See Us movement

See Me. See Us.

Over the last two years, the See Us movement has gone from strength to strength, with more and more people across Scotland signing up to show their commitment to ending mental health stigma and discrimination.

People from all walks of life are taking action against stigma in a range of different ways, from utilising creative methods to share their own stories, thoughts and feelings, to hosting events and activities in their communities, workplaces and beyond to generate important conversations on the impact of mental health stigma.

We know, though, that it’s not always easy to know where to start. A great way to get thinking about what you can do is to look towards others for inspiration.

On the See Me blog, we’ll be documenting some of the ways in which people are challenging attitudes towards mental health.

Through guest blogs, poetry and art, we’ll be exploring some of the different ways in which the people of Scotland are growing the movement and getting the See Us message out there in their communities.

We know it’s not right that, in 2023, people are still being treated unfairly as a result of their mental health — and we need your help to make that a thing of the past.

If you’ve been a part of anti-stigma action, we’d love to know more about it. Get in touch to find out how you can share your work at info@seemscotland.org.
