If Stigma was a Colour

If stigma was a colour

what would it be?

Black, white or grey

which one do you see?

Black hides in the shadows

and never shows its face

to scared to reveal its self in case you see their face.

Grey is in between one you can barley see.

Some times you can see it

or is that only me?

White is as clear daylight

quite clearly shows itself,

unaware of the consequences

it bestows upon itself.

The colour doesn’t matter

its not what you can see,

its the impact on life

for people like me.

Lets all change the colours

lets make them bright,

send black to the darkness

back to the night.

Put grey in shadow and hide it away

don’t let it back out to have its say.

White is the hardest,

it can’t see no wrong

it thinks that its normal to sing its own song.

The lyrics it sings we don’t want to hear

fills people with hatred

and fills some with fear.

If we all speak up clearly and make them all see

bright colours are better

they set people free.
