See Me supporter Rachel shares her poem ‘My Very Own Morning Prayer’.

When you hit rock bottom,
There is only one thing left to do.
Stop worrying about the pointless things,
And start concentrating on you.

Do not let the past define you,
Do not let it hold you back.
Fight it hard with all your strength,
And get your life back on track.

No amount of drugs or alcohol,
Can take away the pain.
All they do is fuel the fire,
They just confuse your brain.

You need to stop overthinking,
And concentrate on the now.
Your life is worth so much more,
You need to try and help yourself somehow.

Nobody has a magic wand,
That they can wave for you.
What happened, happened it’s over now,
This day, you will get through.

Every morning when you open your eyes,
Look at all the good and positive in your life.
Be it your kids, your husband, your family & friends,
Being a fantastic mother and a loving wife.

There is a fighter inside of you,
You are stronger than you think.
You have to keep staying positive,
You can’t allow yourself to sink.

By reminding yourself every day,
Of how amazing you really are.
You will start the day in a better mood,
A little positivity can go so far.

Some people like to pray or sing,
To help them to sooth their fears.
This poem will become my daily thing,
My very own morning prayer.
